The first of Dr Chris Baker's ELEMENTS Comprehensive Orthodontics course for 2019 begins Jan 11-13, 2019 in Longview, Texas. There are six ELEMENTS course weekends, each providing 20 hours ADA CERP credit to participants.
The course is designed to encourage collegiality, with catered meals and receptions provided.
It’s a series of orthodontic courses like none other. Personal, professional, scientific, yet practical.
The ELEMENTS Comprehensive Course is taught by Dr Chris Baker, RN, DMD, one of the world’s best-
known teachers of orthodontics to GPs and Pediatric dentists.
As Past President of the American Orthodontic Society and of its Board of Examiners, Dr Chris is a current or former faculty member of three U.S. dental schools and author of five books. She practices orthodontics in Texas, USA, and Abu Dhabi, UAE (an 8,000-mile commute!).

The ELEMENTS course is designed to get the dentist out from between the “crush” created by insurance companies, giant corporations and Medicaid. Dentists are taught to practice orthodontics by providing what is best for the patient, and to do so profitably.
ELEMENTS courses can be taken individually or combined to make the best comprehensive orthodontics course available. The quality of instruction, course materials, instructor experience and follow-up are unmatched, anywhere.
ELEMENTS Course Dates and Subjects for 2019:
* $2485 (US) doctor tuition for each ELEMENTS weekend;
* 3 Session Package available: $6255 (2485 for first weekend and 1885 each for any 2 more ELEMENTS weekends)
* $1885 tuition for each dental and / or orthodontic assistant and / or hygienist;
* $900 for each spouse and / or guest enjoying seminar learning center facilities and attending meals and receptions. (Spouse and / or guest attending lectures will be charged 1885 tuition.)
Meeting hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. 8 a.m. until noon Sunday. Additional discussions held during receptions and dinners.

Without failure, we don’t learn as much. We don’t know and understand as much. We can’t appreciate as much.
I love the story of the prospector out West years ago, who dug and dug and dug, looking for gold. He was so sure it was nearby. No gold.
Finally, after much digging, he gave up.
A couple of his cohorts decided to keep digging, keep moving on. Within days, they STRUCK GOLD!
DON’T QUIT.
Success is on the other side of fear.
“Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy. Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Do the thing you fear to do and keep on doing it. That is the quickest and surest way ever yet discovered to conquer fear.” ~ Dale Carnegie

YOU will wrong them, too!
Now that we’ve got that figured out, what to do?
There is only one good answer. Forgiveness.
You may think, they don’t “deserve” forgiveness. You may even think, “I don’t deserve forgiveness.”
But indeed, forgiveness - of yourself, or of them - is for YOU.
The opposite side of forgiveness is revenge or retribution.
That will hurt you even more than the original wrong.
Confucius pointed out, “If you go after revenge, you better dig two graves.”
Saint Augustine said, “Resentment (Unforgiveness) is like drinking poison and hoping the other person dies.”
...and from Lewis Smedes, “To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.”
Right now, decide to constantly forgive and free yourself and others around you. Constantly forgive and get back to loving.
