Sayings... are powerful things. Years ago, in nursing school, when things seemed tough, we had a saying: “This too shall pass.” Recently I heard these lyrics: “A bell is not a bell until you ring it. A song is not a song until you sing it. The love in our heart was not put there to stay Because, love is not love until you give it away.” Go forth today. Ring the bells. Sing the songs. And give love away!! Be powerful! Love,

What other people think of you Is truly none of your business. Because what they think of you Is formed from the other folks thoughts about themselves. And you cannot know anything about that. So there’s no use thinking about what THEY think. Better to think what YOU think of yourself, And make it all about the good stuff. Think about: ...how kind you are. ...how your smile makes people happy. ...how others react when you greet them. ...how it feels to YOU when you help someone along the way. You know what? You can’t control what other people think or do. You can’t control what will go on around you. What can you control? You can control how you think and react to others’ actions. You can control how you handle what goes on around you. And that’s enough. Because in your actions, reactions, handling of life Is your power. To change your self. Which can change the world. Love, This great mystery author certainly gets a clue: “I like living. "I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow; but through it all... "I still know quite certainly... ...that just to be alive is a grand thing.” — Agatha Christie Love, We humans cannot see what we can’t see, cannot hear what we can’t hear, And so, when things are difficult... ...we want to trust in God, trust that He ‘has it.’ And look for our answers and comfort… ...that’s hard. There’s no writing in the sky, There’s no quiet voice we actually hear. (Tho' some say it happens sometimes.) Keep giving the hard thing(s) “up”. Every time you think of them, send them in prayer again. And get busy thinking of things you already have seen solved, ...in gratitude. Know that in time it will all work out. Not always the way you hope... ...but the way God ordains. And you’ll be on to other hard things. You will begin giving and sending those up in prayer. Love, |
