Every day there are thousands of reasons They may be hiding. Lost items? Rejections? A glance that turns in to a long look? Or, they may be in plain sight! (Usually are.) Challenges? New people you meet? Craziness in the world? Thousands of reasons to be happy! Look for ‘em. And when you find one, two, three - look for many others! This is a fun hide-and-seek game.

The two prospectors digging for gold went out west. (Only a few years ago. Seriously.) They had heard a tip about a vein of gold… And after days and days, weeks, of digging... They gave up. Never found the gold. A couple of other prospectors Decided to continue digging, Where the first two had worked. Two days later, they struck gold. True story. I’ll let you think of the lessons herein. There are several! Once I read a story of a lady who Kept her most beautiful Special clothing for the future. After she died, her husband found them tucked Into a beautiful trunk Never worn. Enjoy today. Enjoy your beautiful things. Yes, they will wear out, or be lost eventually Then enjoy the memories. Fill life with life. Fully live in enjoyment and love. When we are little We think we want to be like the ‘big kids’. Then we think that We want to graduate from elementary school Then middle, then high school. Eventually we want to find a life partner. And have babies. And see them grow up. Our future is never far from our focus. Normal. Healthy. Add in a constant awareness of TODAY and its blessings. Because today flies away and it’s gone. Hold on to the blessings, the memories, The joy. Someone imagined a beautiful bridge. Someone thought about how to build it. And someone began to gather the people To carry out the idea. Change your life. Imagine your dream. Think about it. Begin to walk on your new path. Build your bridge. Change your life. Think of life as walking up the mountain. You can sing as you climb. Or you can complain about your sore feet. Whichever you choose, You still have to do the hike. Singing makes sense! Yes, it is important to have dreams… To enumerate them, And then - To focus on... Those desired end results. Avoid the "hows". Leave the methodology to God. See it done. See it here, and how it will feel. Especially how it will feel. Feel it now. By the way - with whom do you spend time? Disparagers or encouragers? Problem-see-ers or Problem-solvers? Procrastinators or ‘get-‘er-done -ers’ Fearful or courageous? Blamers or ‘learn-from-my error-ers’? Gossipers or encouragers? Pretenders or genuiners? As you go through your week, ponder which type of folks Surround you. Begin surrounding yourself with the positive ones. Shower the negativers with love, and then move away from those wherever you can. Your life is too important for anything less. As you go through your day, with EVERYONE you meet,
You will touch thousands of people. Thousands?? How? For example, as a pediatric dentist and orthodontist Each day brings many people into my ‘sphere.’ And for each I encounter, I also reach everyone they will EVER know. AND, EVERYONE they will ever know. My single day of moments of love Stretches out in love, kindness, Like the waves of the oceans, Still spreading after I have gone on. (Of course continuing as I am with my friends and my family, As I grocery shop, As I write to you, On and on, and on and on…For each and every day. Because people are changed by my energies. As dependable as the ocean tides!) With everything that has happened to you, Your choice is to feel sorry for yourself ...or... To treat what has happened as a gift. Every single thing is either an opportunity to grow ...or... an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose. Thoughts from Dr. Wayne Dyer, a major mentor in my life. This and this alone changed an awful lot for me. Let it resonate See what you think. (Because what you think is what it’s all about.) |
