Here it is, Monday morning again.
Haven’t we heard over and over,
how Monday is the hardest day of the week?
And implication being,
The work week looms.
Today, you could think how grateful
You are to have work to do.
How grateful you are
To have people to see during the day.
How grateful you are
To plan to see your loved ones
At the end of a wonderful Monday,
Full of kindness and love shared
By you and coming back to you
All day.
How ‘bout?

Monday, Monday (Bah da, bah da-da, da), so good to me (Bah da, bah da-da, da)...
Monday mornin' (Bah da, bah da-da, da), it was all I hoped it would be...

"If today gets difficult,
remember the smell of coffee,
the way sunlight bounces off a window,
the sound of your favorite person’s laugh,
the feeling when a song you love comes on,
the color of the sky at dusk, and
that we are here to take care of each other."

Ever wonder how some people get so capable,
So resilient, so able to persist?

They’ve worked through difficulties,
Through problems,
Through life’s challenges.
That’s how.
You know.

“Negativity is quite powerful,
AND, positivity is powerful as well.
Both take a lot of effort, but being negative is often much more exhausting.
Try to choose positivity when and where you can,
...over the next day or so and...
see how much better you feel because of it.”

Insecurity is something we all share.
You may notice some people’s insecurity
in the manner in which they speak, stand,
and what they do with their gaze, their eyes.

You may notice others’ insecurity
In the way they seem almost fearsome, or ‘tough’.

So, if you are feeling your own insecurity,
Stand tall, speak kindly, nicely, and make eye contact.
Send love out to others.

And focus on how good sending love makes you feel .

Sayings...
are powerful things.
Years ago, in nursing school, when things seemed tough,
 we had a saying:
“This too shall pass.”
Recently I heard these lyrics:
“A bell is not a bell until you ring it.
A song is not a song until you sing it.
The love in our heart was not put there to stay
Because, love is not love until you give it away.”

Go forth today.
Ring the bells.
Sing the songs.
And give love away!!
Be powerful!

What other people think of you
Is truly none of your business.
Because what they think of you
Is formed from the other folks thoughts about themselves.

And you cannot know anything about that.
So there’s no use thinking about what THEY think.
Better to think what YOU think of yourself,
And make it all about the good stuff.
Think about:
    ...how kind you are.
...how your smile makes people happy.
...how others react when you greet them.
...how it feels to YOU when you help someone along the way.

You know what?
You can’t control what other people think or do.
You can’t control what will go on around you.
What can you control?
You can control how you think and react to others’ actions.
You can control how you handle what goes on around you.

And that’s enough.
Because in your actions, reactions, handling of life
Is your power.
To change your self.
Which can change the world.

Did you know every day, someone, somewhere is better off because of something you’ve done?

And many of these folks think of you, and you have no idea.

I wonder who you think about who has added love, joy and help to your life?

Taking several offerings of Tony Robbins’ events, I learned so very much.
I learned CANI - Constant and Never-Ending Improvement.
And I learned I could and did walk on fire - really!
And when he talked about gratitude, I soaked it up!

"Gratitude, my friends, is one of the most powerful forces on this Earth. It's the force that transforms even our greatest challenges into blessings and carries us through our hardships, even when we may not realize it."
-- Tony Robbins

I learned how living in gratitude can make us so very happy!
Doesn’t it though?

As you go through your day...
You may find something happens that could change your life forever.

Someone you are with in line with, on the phone with, or a book or online post you read...
Could cause everything to change!

It could be the beginning of your dreams and goals coming to fruition.

Many things happen that you cannot control.
But, it’s always a good idea to be open to what is going on around you,
To ponder what you just heard or read,
To respond with openness and fascination.

That’s the stuff of miracles!

Today, look for those moments.
Look for the opportunities...
Be openhearted and interested.
In our response is your power.
See what you can experience!
