There was a 1970s sitcom called "Rhoda", whose main character was Rhoda Morganstern, a yuppie-type young lady in New York City.
One day when Rhoda and her husband Joe arrived home, they found their apartment in shambles after a burglary. As Rhoda looked around in shock and disappointment, she exclaimed, “My blender! It’s gone! And I didn’t even get to use ‘puree’!. She had never used the blender's then-amazing ability to puree a smoothie, or something similar. Live with fun and enjoyment. Use your good stuff. Use the silver and don't worry. Enjoy your precious keepsakes. Now is the time. A sweet wife kept her husband’s wonderful gift of a cashmere sweater safely in special moth-proof wrapping, for someday, when she might wear it. Later, her husband found it in its box and wrapping, never worn, after she died unexpectedly. Live in joy and love. Today. Now.
