Distractions from anxiety that Don’t Work: TV, computer, texting, movies, food and liquor.

The voice in your head of worry, anxiety, sadness keeps coming back.

The path to peace is via willingness. Willingness makes it easier. Are you searching? You are part-way there. Your longing takes you to willingness.

Willingness is a relief.  It unfolds and leaves you able to feel gratitude.  Willingness allows you to begin to let go of the harsh, horrid, negative thoughts and beliefs.

Otherwise, the thoughts and distractions keep you miserable, trapped in the false life they create. Begin a new habit of gratitude.  That works.

Gratitude magnifies your positive emotions and beliefs.

Whew!

This year, 2021, make a great choice!

Isn’t it so easy to hear the people around you, scoffing, doubting, worrying?
It is!  Yet - do you choose to listen to them?  Or do you make your own voice of trust the loudest?

Something I learned years ago from Dr. Wayne Dyer is that, whatever happened was “supposed to happen - proof being that it did.”  I have pondered that from those years back, til now, and when things don’t go the way I hoped, those words come to my mind.  Supposed to happen? What does that mean?  Well, while you are pondering it as I do, see what you think.  I do believe it means that the energies - thoughts, actions, beliefs - all energies - come together to “make it happen.”

And every time, it makes me remember I can sustain happy thoughts.  Positivity.  Surety.  I can
...trust and believe that all things are working together for my good.

OR...

I can listen to the cynics and doubters.

I choose the energy of YES! with trust and belief in positive energy - positive thoughts, positive actions and positive beliefs.

Happy New Year!

Life is often tough.  In our angst, sadness, discouragement and anger, we find ourselves feeling helpless - even hopeless.

if you think about the difficult, and the wonderful, think about which can make you stronger, moving you toward your destiny?

As Winston Churchill pointed out, you can see adversity in every opportunity, or you can see the opportunity in every adversity.

Even in failure or mistakes, look for the opportunity, especially when you don’t understand.  When you accept in that moment that this adversity, just like every blunder, missed deal and broken heart will eventually play to your favor, you may just see the door that has been opened for you.

Or, it may take awhile, giving you an opportunity to practice endurance and growth.

It’s a set-up.  Closed doors are often the Universe’s way of steering you in a much better direction.  Look for the direction.  This is your moment of power.  Say, “I can do this!”

To your next open door,

Share love with everyone you meet, a smile, a hug, a word.  Gladden their hearts.

Listen.  Try to understand.  Say thank you often, and say, “It’s my pleasure,” more.

Be gentle.  Answer softly and with your heart.  Be a treasure to your loved ones.  Laugh a little more.  Say lots of gratitude things to everyone as you go through your days.

Notice God’s beautiful Earth.  Breathe in its wonder.

Speak your love.

Speak it again.

Speak it yet

Once again.

May I start?

I love you.  I truly love you,

Chris, and from Claude too.

Your power is in this moment.  What you do in this moment defines your tomorrow, your future.
In this moment, sacrifice what you “are” (have been), for what you can become!
  • “Life isn’t about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself.“       ~ George Bernard Shaw
When you believe that something inside of you is superior to circumstances, you can achieve most anything!  That something inside you is God.  Live with, and in the Divine strength and light.
  • “We are not creatures of circumstance, we are creators of circumstance.”  ~ Benjamin Disraeli
Act now.  Can’t wait to hear what you create for your future.  Drop me an email!

Gossiping -- the casual or unconstrained discussion and reports about others -- hurts you.
  1. It is negative.  Negative thoughts and talk reinforce negativity in your life.
  2. It produces a false sense of importance in the gossiper.
  3. It typically involves details that are not confirmed as being true.
  4. The gossiper can feel guilty later, which yields fear, embarrassment and self-recrimination.
  5. Gossiping can steal a reputation, and often hurts another person emotionally and socially.
  6. Listeners to gossiping may have negative opinions of the gossiper, and/or of the target of the gossip.  Several people have been negatively impacted, including the gossiper.
Gossiping thus destroys relationships.

There are almost always obvious positive traits upon which to focus about any person.  Look for those and lift the other person up in love.

Your life is positively transformed every time you do this.

Today, I talk about passion in providing orthodontic care, how it transforms a doctor’s life as it transforms children' lives, and why finishing and detailing in ortho is an ubiquitous challenge. This is the video addition to my article in the latest issue of the Journal of the American Orthodontic Society.

Claude and I made an offer on an historic house that we absolutely loved.  We could not wait to move in.

Then -- the deal fell through as the owner refused to sell.

We were devastated, sure our failed dream was irreparable.  Six months later, we found a house that is ever so much more perfect, a much better investment, and did not need the time, money and energy of repairs of the first house.

While we had no choice, we needed to let it go.

We found that initially impossible, then started using positive thoughts and changed our emotional states.

Then and only then could the Universe open a new door, a MUCH better house.  Now, three years later, we are grateful for the closed door and its lesson.

Why to let it go?

- so it doesn’t cause you stress in anger, frustration, self-recrimination and disappointment.
- so you can be happier and more enjoy your relationships with others,

How to let it go?

- work to make a decision to let it go. It won’t disappear by itself.

- see yourself as powerful, not the victim, and use positive thoughts:

- by repeating positive thoughts to yourself over and over until you are in the new place of peace. (thoughts like, “I am willing to let go.”  “Only good comes from this situation.”  “In patience I wait and learn.”)

- stay in this moment and make it as good to great as you can.

Louise Hay had a passion for loving and dedicated her life to teaching how to live a positive and empowered life.  The power is in the present moment.  It is there that you plant the seeds for tomorrow.

Louise taught the use of repeating positive statements until they imbue you with their power, because every thought you think is creating your future.

Be comforted today as you affirm over and over, “Everything is working out to my highest good.  Only good comes from this situation.  I am safe.  All is well in my world.”

Let your spirit pick up in comfort and awareness of your true self.

To a wonderful day, with love,
