You have power over your mind, your thoughts. Your strength is in your thoughts - your thoughts that love, that touch, that care so very much.
As it has been said so often, you are what you think about. Claude keeps this on a card on his dresser, and sees it frequently. What a fantastic idea - to keep yourself reminded of the power in and of your thoughts! Think about the things for which you are grateful, the things you love, the good in your life. In the darkest, toughest moments, think of these things. As seasons change, now to winter, we can find joy in the change, in the new pattern, the new weather. Now the fallen leaves are dried and crisp under our step. The air has turned colder and drier as well. It’s scent is fresh, waiting for you to come out and enjoy it. And in a short few weeks, you will begin to hear the birds announce the coming spring.
Seasons wrap us with change and offer new joys. Look out the window on arising and love the new day and its weather. Walk out the door to your day and love the weather - rain or shine - love it. Be in the day, dashing if you need, or slowly moseying if you can, and love the day and its’ weather. Settle in for the night in gratitude for the lovely day and its weather. Whatever it was, it can be wonderful because you were in it, living another precious day, loving and being loved. Happy winter, For dentists in 2020, here's a great idea on how to create a solid, healthy plan for their future and the future of their patients. “You are the light of the world.” ~ the Bible, Matthew 5:14
As I write to you on this New Year’s morning, I am getting beautiful loving messages from around the world, from hearts of love that I love, some of whom have been co-workers, some patients, some parents of patients, some students / seminarians, some dental colleagues, and some friends who share our journeys of life. Some, truly, I barely knew; many I knew well. With each and all, we have shared happy, joyous times, talks, sharing. As my heart swells and thrills to these messages, to each heart of my heart, I am grateful to be a vessel, through which the love flows, part of the process of shared light of the world. Isn’t it just precious to be a drop in the vast ocean of God, a thread in the fabric of this life of souls having a human experience? You are indeed, the light of the world. |
