What Makes You Happy or Unhappy?

12/31/2018

Picture
  1. What you have?
  2. Who you are?
  3. Where you are?
  4. What you are doing?
This is a little tricky, because all of these things at times are what we think makes us happy or unhappy.

In fact, it’s the desire for pleasure, happiness, that is what you are after when you want a fancy, hot, gorgeous car/person on your arm or parked at your house - what you ”have”.

And, it’s that same desire for pleasure & happiness, that is what you are after when you work to “become or present or look” a certain way - who you “are.”

And, it’s the same desire again that is what you are after when you travel to exotic places and live in a certain neighborhood or frequent your favorite haunts - where you “are.”

And finally, you get the picture - what you are “doing” - same desire for pleasure or happiness.

But, “It isn’t what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it.”
~ Dale Carnegie

So now, you know.  Change what you think about things, and get happier.

Be grateful for
  1. What you have
  2. Who you are - believe me, you are somebody special.
  3. Where you are
  4. What you are doing.
Change any of it anytime, and just remember - your gratitude will bring you:
- happiness, AND
- more of what you are grateful for - what you have, who you are, where you are, and what you do.

To an amazing little secret!  Grateful for you!

Feel 'as if you will', THEN....

How will you feel WHEN your dream comes true?

I remember realizing as a young mother that I had often waited for “when”.

When I started junior high school.  When I went to high school.
When I graduated.
When I started nursing school.
When I graduated.
When I got married.
When I delivered my baby.
When my baby began to walk…

One day it dawned on me that I was always looking forward to…

That’s a good thing. Looking forward in happy anticipation.

Now I know the way to make it the best, to make it drive my life the most successfully, is to feel what I imagine I will feel when it happens.

Those imaginings of feelings and the feelings themselves are called imaging.  Those energies in our subconscious mind, propel the dreams toward fruition.

Those energies help you to do what you can do — and it will be good enough. It will turn out that it is very very good!  No matter how it seems, you will have enough time to do what you can do and you’ll do even better than you thought and life will be even more spectacular than you pictured!

“Begin to live as though your prayers are already answered.”   ~ Tony Robbins

Remember to feel, to live, to be as you will, WHEN.

Love,

Success comes to those who tolerate what 99 percent of people avoid, and who avoid what 99 percent of people tolerate.  In dentistry -- in fact, in ANY profession, you can become a legend. You've got the talents. You have a gift to rise above the 99 percent. Here's how to use that gift to become legendary, indeed.

Research shows that beautiful people find better jobs -- and find them more easily. Beautiful people are smarter, considered more trustworthy and earn more money. By practicing orthodontics, you can help make this happen in the life of your child patient.

The effects of orthodontics on facial beauty cannot be underestimated. This is especially true with early treatment orthodontics, and there's lots of research backs it up.
