It can seem as if your thoughts come from who-knows-where. Yet, there is no one else in there.
Problem is we humans unconsciously have habitual thoughts, tie them to emotions, and they roll, seemingly from without. You can begin to practice as continuously as possible, bringing to your awareness, to your conscious mind, the positive thoughts you wish. It takes work. It takes bringing yourself back to it time and again. You’ll notice occasionally that those new thoughts actually come without your conscious thinking. Rejoice, and yet, do not stop practicing your new habits. Your habitual thoughts will become more and more positive as you think about gratitude, love, and joy. Joy awaits!
